Summer Camp is a hand’s on program blending academic, artistic, and physical activities presented in organized thematic units. All weeks will include P.E. with Stretch N Grow, Kindermusik with Ms. Shelia, fun art and craft projects, and cooking!   Adventures to enjoy will include:

  Appreciating the Arts
  June 9th-June 20th
Explore the different arts including dance, sculpting, painting, and origami. Your child will be given the opportunity to find his/her creative muse as we experience all these different forms of artistic expression. Simon Pham, a previous Montessori parent, will come and give a hand’s on demonstration in the magic of origami and Ms. Sharon Platt will come and help the children work with ceramics. During these creative weeks your child will be given the opportunity to use a variety of different art mediums to find his/her favorite form of artistic expression.

  Back in Time:
  June 23-July 3rd
Join us in our time machine for two weeks as we travel back to the Prehistoric Ages and learn about dinosaurs. We will learn what they ate, where and when they lived, and explore the different theories of why they are extinct. Your child will have the opportunity to become a Paleontologist as he/she digs for bones, dinosaur eggs, and fossils. We will also explore the awesome world of volcanoes with High Touch High Tech Science who use a fun hand’s on approach to teaching science to children.

  What’s on the Inside?
  July 7th-July 11th
During this fun week we will explore the inside of our bodies and learn the importance of eating healthy foods and getting plenty of exercise. We will learn fun exercises and outdoor games to keep us active and get out hearts pumping. To add to the fun your child will learn to make healthy snacks for the family in cooking. This will be an active and fun filled week!

  Space Camp:
  July 14th-July 18th
This week will be an adventure as we travel through our universe. We will explore the planets in our Solar System and experience what it is like to be an astronaut. The children will use their imagination to create an alien world along with a space ship to get us there.

High Touch High Tech will come aboard our space ship with a hand’s on experiment involving the sun’s visible light. The children will have the opportunity to taste real astronaut food as we travel through space. This will be an adventure packed week!
